Approach

Make close to Fairway Spherical (R.W.V.S. L.Fl.10s) buoy (53°17’.96N 003°55'.61W) , then follow buoyed channel. Keep within 20 m of each buoy; give Morfa Conwy (Perch) 50 m clearance. Buoys have radar reflectors

Dangers

Drying patches to north and south of leading line from Fairway buoy. Banks dry, channel has little water at less than half tide. In strong SW to N winds, seas break on West Spit. Spring ebb runs at 5 knots through moorings and approach channel.

Shelter

Protected from all directions, whether in Conwy Marina, Deganwy Marina or on one of the harbour pontoons. Moorings can become uncomfortable in strong winds.
